December Fun

It's been a fun-filled month for Holden as we get ready to celebrate his first Christmas. He picked out his first Christmas tree, saw snow for the first time, and is having a blast finding his presents and getting the bows off of all of the packages (so, if your package is missing a bow, Holden probably got it)!

Ho, Ho, Ho...No, No, No

Holden finally met Santa, and he was not too impressed. We were able to snap a few pictures before the tears came. According to Grandma, Holden is like his Mom - I wasn't really fond of Santa either!

Thanksgiving Weekend

Holden experienced his first Black Friday experience...and he was a great sport! I'm not sure that he will ever want to be out by 5 am with the girls, but he is a good little shopper!

#1 Auntie

Holden enjoyed spending the Thanksgiving weekend with his favorite Aunt, Auntie Kara. And she spoiled him with lots of cute clothes...

Happy Turkey Day

We had a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving as we celebrated Holden's first Thanksgiving. We spent the day with the Jonczak Family and introduced Holden to all of the traditions we celebrate each year. He even had his first bite of turkey, and loved it!
Grandpa Jonczak stopped by for a visit...
And cousins Natalie and Caleb had lots of cool toys to play with...

And we added Holden's fingerprints to the family tablecloth so we can watch him grow over the years.

Roy's Next Recruit

Basketball season has finally begun, and Holden finally got to experience his first UNC basketball game! I'm pretty sure Roy had his eyes on him as the next recruit for the class of 2032.
Holden was very serious when he was studying the plays...
He checked out the crowds around us...

and cheered the Tar Heels on to a victory...

The next day, Holden picked up some basketball tips from Serge Zwikker, who played for Carolina from 93-97. He said Holden showed great potential...

A UNC Tradition..A Visit to the Old Well

What a beautiful day in Chapel Hill...UNC got by William & Mary for a win, and Holden had his first drink of water from the Old Well. Now he's officially a UNC fan!

Happy Halloween!

Halloween was packed full of fun activities. Here are some highlights of our cute little Giraffe on his first Halloween!

We kicked the day off with a picnic at Lake Crabtree with some friends and their kids. Sam (monkey) and Holden were a little confused about what was going on...and Joe (fish) just went with the flow!

The moms and their babies...

Trick-or-Treat. We took Holden around to experience trick-or-treating, and he even got a few pieces of candy!

This candy is yummy!

State Fair

We took Holden on his first trip to the State Fair, and he enjoyed it just as much as we did - especially the people watching. We look forward to taking him to the Fair each year to continue our tradition!

Our Little Pumpkin

On the way home from Charlottesville, we made a stop at the Apple Orchard to pick apples and go to the pumpkin patch. Holden and Sam even had a little time to play! We did a good job picking the apples because they were yummy!

UNC Road Trip

We took Holden on his first road trip to see UNC take on UVA in Charlottesville. It was a fun-filled weekend of football that started off with tailgating. He played with his friend Sam in the back of the car, and took a nap before the game. He got to see his Aunt Kara who came up for the game since she is a UVA grad. Holden learned to clap and cheered on the Heels as they finally won in Charlottesville - the first win in Charlottesville since 1981!

Carolina Blue Skies

We were so excited to take Holden to his first (of many!) Carolina football game! He is definitely like his Mom and Dad because he loved every second...from tailgating at 8:30 am to the end of the game at 5 pm. He even managed to get a nap in with the noise-reducing headphones we bought for him to wear (have to protect his little ears). Here are some highlights!

The Cookie Jar

The singing cookie jar is a big hit! Holden's favorite thing to do is dump the cookies out and chew on them!

Say Cheese!

Holden was a little Ham for his 6-month pictures. We just got the link, and just love them! Here is a look at a couple of our favorites, and you can go to the photographer's website to see all of her favorites.

The Boys and their Dads

The proud Dads showed off their little guys over the weekend. Sam and Holden are excited to start having play dates with Joe (center, the newest little Tar Heel)!
