Happy Birthday Holden!

It's hard to believe Holden is 1 today. He is such a bog boy, and took his first steps on Sunday...we better watch out now! Here is a link to all of his one-year photos: www.funfettiphotography.com/2011/02/holden-is-one.html
Emily did a great job capturing photos of our little guy. Enjoy!

January Fun

Holden is keeping us busy these days since he is constantly on the go. Here are some highlights from January!

He likes to help Mom with the dishes...
And loves his "ball." It's the first thing he wants every morning when he wakes up. And, while this makes me very happy, I am not forcing him to like basketball!

Practicing his free throws/dunks...he would make Coach Roy very proud!

Having fun at the park on a rare nice day in January...

Great Gran came to visit and had fun playing with Holden!

A 402 Reunion

402 Cameron was a little different from our college days - this time it was filled with lots of little kiddies to celebrate Bea's birthday. We tried to get a photo with all of the kids, but it wasn't as easy as it looked!

Okay - we have everyone except the Holton...

Umm...there is a baby on the floor!!!!

Bea is here...everyone in position...

We'll give you a cupcake if you pose for the photo...

Enough is enough people....

Playdates

Holden had lots of fun playing with his new toys and friends over the Christmas break. He loves his new car from Grandma!

He had his friends, Sam and Joe, over for a playdate. They kept the moms pretty busy!

Christmas Day

Christmas was very special this year since it was Holden's first! He was a little overwhelmed by all of the gifts he got, but he had a great time. Too bad the snow came and we had to make a quick trip back to Raleigh.

Santa came to see Holden

Holden was excited to see Santa came to our house a day early (since we were in VA on Christmas morning). He was an expert at opening the gifts!

December Fun

It's been a fun-filled month for Holden as we get ready to celebrate his first Christmas. He picked out his first Christmas tree, saw snow for the first time, and is having a blast finding his presents and getting the bows off of all of the packages (so, if your package is missing a bow, Holden probably got it)!

Ho, Ho, Ho...No, No, No

Holden finally met Santa, and he was not too impressed. We were able to snap a few pictures before the tears came. According to Grandma, Holden is like his Mom - I wasn't really fond of Santa either!

Thanksgiving Weekend

Holden experienced his first Black Friday experience...and he was a great sport! I'm not sure that he will ever want to be out by 5 am with the girls, but he is a good little shopper!

#1 Auntie

Holden enjoyed spending the Thanksgiving weekend with his favorite Aunt, Auntie Kara. And she spoiled him with lots of cute clothes...

Happy Turkey Day

We had a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving as we celebrated Holden's first Thanksgiving. We spent the day with the Jonczak Family and introduced Holden to all of the traditions we celebrate each year. He even had his first bite of turkey, and loved it!
Grandpa Jonczak stopped by for a visit...
And cousins Natalie and Caleb had lots of cool toys to play with...

And we added Holden's fingerprints to the family tablecloth so we can watch him grow over the years.

Roy's Next Recruit

Basketball season has finally begun, and Holden finally got to experience his first UNC basketball game! I'm pretty sure Roy had his eyes on him as the next recruit for the class of 2032.
Holden was very serious when he was studying the plays...
He checked out the crowds around us...

and cheered the Tar Heels on to a victory...

The next day, Holden picked up some basketball tips from Serge Zwikker, who played for Carolina from 93-97. He said Holden showed great potential...

A UNC Tradition..A Visit to the Old Well

What a beautiful day in Chapel Hill...UNC got by William & Mary for a win, and Holden had his first drink of water from the Old Well. Now he's officially a UNC fan!
